day 2 in D.C.

Today we had meetings all day. First, it was just with the American teachers going to France. Then we had a general session featuring Craig Storti about cross cultural understanding that was pretty funny. After lunch, we attended another session presented by U.S. teachers who have done great things with their classes both during and after their exchange. They presented the projects they did with their students and communities at home and abroad. Nathalie and I both agree that we have a lot to live up to!

The rest of the afternoon, all of the French-related teachers met in a session to talk about expectations, obstacles and challenges. The information was very useful, but in a very hot room. Afterwards, we had "one on one" with our partners, so Nathalie and I went back to our room and talked about what to expect at our respective schools. We have so much more to discuss, but thankfully we have nearly a week together in Oklahoma City.
