the long-awaited visa

I have been waiting on my visa since June 4th. The 2-month delay was not the fault of the kind folks at the French Consulate in Houston, but due to some paperwork problems in France. Thanks to the hard work of Dr. Amy Tondu at the Commission Franco-Américaine in Paris, the necessary forms were pushed through the ANAEM, and I was reunited with my passport one week before my departure. Even better...my letter carrier called me to tell me it had arrived, and since I was in D.C., I arranged for my mom to be at my house to meet her.

Now I can finally relax and focus on packing. How will I ever fit everything in my 2 suitcases?
