Poix has a movie theater! Le Trianon has one screen and three showing times: 9:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 5:00pm on Sunday. Each time I walk to the grocery store, I check the poster for the weekend's film. I never seem to have any luck - when there's a movie I want to see, I've got other plans, and when I have a quiet weekend, it's never a film that interests me. Finally, the stars were aligned and I went to the movies tonight. Tickets are an affordable 5€ (as opposed to 9€80 at the Ciné Gaumont in Amiens). You can buy a carnet of 15 which gives you 5 movies free. It wasn't too crowded, but I believe my presence lowered the average age of attendees by 30 years. The seats were quite comfortable and the screen was larger than I expected. Despite the many no-smoking signs however, the odor of years and years of cigarette smoke still lingered. The movie, "3 amis" was pretty good, but it won't win any Césars. I got frustrated because I didn't understand everything - I hate it when they talk too fast, mumble or use slang that I don't know. Overall, I understood the plot though, and it was a pretty good story about friendship. It made me miss my friends back home...

We miss you, too, Jen!
Who, who? (sounds like the owl on my roof)
Okay, so apparently there *were* some younger people in attendance, because this afternoon I heard, "Madame, madame, vous êtes allées au cinéma vendredi soir." It takes me back to Sulphur where everyone knew what I did on the weekends...
Your "other" family MISSES you, Silly!!
Well, you gotta sign your name, Mary! I miss you guys too! Hugs all around!
